Create your own nature inspired sculpture to hang on your wall using traditional moulding and casting techniques.

There’s something deeply satisfying about pressing a leaf or flower into soft clay and watching its delicate details come to life in plaster. Last weekend, at BEAM in Hertford, I had the joy of leading The Botanical Plaster Casting Workshop — a relaxing, hands-on day where creativity and nature met in the most beautiful way.

Participants arranged small plants, seed heads, and leaves to cast their own relief artworks in plaster. It was wonderful to see everyone completely absorbed in the process — choosing their compositions, arranging their finds, and gently peeling back the clay to reveal the fine veins and textures captured for the inside of their home forever. Each piece was unique, a perfect reflection of the maker entwined within the natural world.

I’m planning to host another Botanical Plaster Casting Workshop soon, so if you’d like to join the next one, please sign up to my newsletter bellow to be the first to hear about it. There will be limited spaces so this is a good idea!

I’m also offering home-visit workshops, where I bring all the materials and guide you (and your friends!) through the process in the comfort of your own home. Do not hesitate to get in touch!
