Natural England approves ‘Place To Be’ at Parndon Wood Nature Reserve

I’m excited to share that Natural England have officially approved the use of willow and steel for my upcoming Place To Be community project at Parndon Wood. These materials were chosen not only for their beauty and strength, but also because they’re low-impact and environmentally sympathetic — aligning perfectly with the values of the nature reserve.

Their support means a lot. Natural England plays a vital role in protecting and celebrating our natural environments and wild spaces across the country. They encourage projects that connect people to place in meaningful, respectful ways, and I’m chuffed that Place To Be aligns with that vision.

This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to share more as Place to Be takes shape. I’ll be documenting the journey here — from sharing my collaborators to making and installation — so stay tuned. It means a lot to have you along for the ride. Follow the blog for updates, insights, and behind-the-scenes moments as the project unfolds :)!
